This set of six stamps was issued in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Each stamp features scenes of anti-aircraft defenses engaging American aircraft.

 The US military lost more than 3,700 fixed-wing aircraft and more than 5,600 helicopters during the Vietnam War. North Vietnamese air defenses were some of the most robust in the world, and were dreaded by American pilots. The North Vietnamese government issued many stamps during the conflict which depicted the fight against the US and South Vietnamese militaries. 

This set contains the following stamps:

 - Factory Defense - A team of factory workers man a water-cooled machinegun during an air raid. Face value: 12 Vietnamese Xu

 - Militiamen Facing US Aircraft - A uniformed infantry squad fire rifles at American jets. Face value: 12 Vietnamese Xu

 - Naval Unit in Battle - A naval gun crew fires a twin-barrelled 37mm cannon. Face value: 12 Vietnamese Xu

 - Militia with Captured US Pilot - Non-uniformed militia members escort a downed American pilot into captivity. Face value: 12 Vietnamese Xu

 - Air Battle - Two MiG-15 jets engage American F-4 Phantom jets in air-to-air combat. Face value: 20 Vietnamese Xu

 - Air-Defense Unit. A battery of Soviet-supplied 57mm S-60 heavy cannon fire on American aircraft. Face value: 30 Vietnamese Xu

Each set of six stamps is shipped inside a protective display card.
